ABOUT

MISSION AND HISTORY

Identity is a youth center for teens and young adults ages 13-24, located at 206 State Street in Binghamton, NY. Founded in 2008, we are a safe space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) teens, but also welcome all youth regardless of their sexual identity, orientation, or gender identity. LGBTQ+ youth and their allies are invited to come and be themselves, receive support and education, and meet new people. If you're a teen who believes in individuality and equality you are welcome at Identity!

What we offer:

  • Educational and social programming

  • Events such as Queer Coffee Houses and Pride Prom

  • Support from staff, peer youth educators, and community mentors

  • Paints, canvases, and many other art and crafting supplies

  • Video games, board games, books, and movies.
